EcoDriving Competition

Shaping Norfolk's Future and its partners have engineered the EcoDriving Competition to encourage you and other Norfolk businesses to lower your carbon emissions, and raise awareness of the financial savings that you and other businesses can achieve by adopting the principles of EcoDriving.

Can you afford to miss out on the benefits that EcoDriving will have for your business?

Benefits of EcoDriving

  •  Increased Road Safety
  • Improved Economy, up to 20% reduction in fuel consumption
  • Awareness of wider implications of vehicle use
  • Reduced CO2 emissions
  • Reduced maintenance costs

Shaping Norfolk’s Future and its partners would like to invite your company to enter a team into the EcoDriving competition to compete against our partners and other Norfolk businesses.  You will get the opportunity to compete against Archant, Lotus and May Gurney on the EcoDriving simulators.

The competition will be held on the 9th, 10th and 11th March in the Forum, Norwich.

Your drivers will be taught the principles of EcoDriving and how to operate and maintain your vehicle to maximise its efficiency and minimise fuel consumption. The competition will also be fun, challenging and I am sure very competitive.

The competition is aimed at any size business, from companies which operate a large transport fleet to smaller independent companies that may have two - three vehicles.  Ideally a team of three should be entered to compete on the simulators, however the score is averaged across the number of people participating and therefore teams of less than three can also be entered.

We are currently only accepting a maximum of two teams per organisation to enter into the competition.

Prize!

The team that uses the least amount of fuel and carbon emissions over a set distance will win a track day at Lotus, which will include a demonstration in the Lotus Exige 270E Tri-fuel demonstrator car, practical driver training on the track, a factory tour around Lotus and lunch overlooking the track. Second and third place will be awarded tickets for a tour around the Lotus factory.

The top three companies will each win EcoSafe Driver training provided by Norfolk County Council for up to 15 drivers.

To book a team into the EcoDriving Competition please fill in the < EcoDriving Booking > Form.
