Improving Your Resource Efficiency Road Show

Resource Efficiency East is running two events in Norwich as part of the Improving Your Resource Efficiency Road show.

The worshops take place on Thursday 3rd March at the John Innes Conference Centre, NR4 7UH.  

Workshop 1, 9am-12pm Environmental Management Systems 

Lunch 12pm - 1pm 

Workshop 2, 1pm - 4pm Waste and Materials Management.  

The aim of the event is to provide practical advice and support to assist your business to reduce costs relating to resource use, as well as informing your business of the Free services Resource Efficiency East offer.

The workshops will include;

·         Practical advice from business experts

·         Case study presentations from small businesses

·         Updates on key environmental legislation

·         Support to identify grants and funding

·         Access to other free support and advice

Cost Saving and Carbon Reduction Forum (CSCR)
  
The next Cost Saving and Carbon Reduction Forum is being held at the Forum Norwich on 23rd March as part of  "Climate Week" between 7:30 - 11:30.  The event is free and includes free parking in the Forum car park and breakfast.  The speakers will be as follows:

Low Carbon Innovation
 
Three breakfast networking events are planned to enable regional companies to find out more about the funding available for Low Carbon Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, identify potential partners and network with other organisations. 
 
The workshops are planned as follows:

    •  John Innes Centre, Norwich
    •  Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge
    •  BRE Innovation Park, Watford

Offshore wind/Green Tech Trade mission to China, 7-11th March 2011

Essex County Council is organising a Green-Tech trade mission to China in March 2011.

This is an opportunity for companies already active in the energy supply chain (in particular wind) or those who may be interested in becoming so,  to investigate opportunities in China.  There will be a range of opportunities, including the chance to participate in promotional events in each city visited, linking into the East of England regional projects around offshore wind.
