DECC consultation on how to simplify the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC).
Changes to the CRC were announced in the government's spending review, including:
Simplifying the CRC
Delaying the first sale of allowances from 2011 to 2012
Using revenue from the sale of CRC allowances to support the public finances, rather than recycling the revenue to participants.
Despite removing revenue recycling, the government has decided to keep the performance league table as the main incentive for the scheme.
Poor performance in the league table could affect your business' reputation.
