A Skills Strategy for Norfolk 2010-2014
The Challenges
Action Plan

The challenges:
There are three key challenges facing the county:
  1. low skills
  2. low productivity
  3. the skills mismatch

We aim to address these challenges by simultaneously focusing on the three strands of:

  1. the individual
  2. the employer
  3. the system

Shaping Norfolk's Future is working with Trainagain on a project to identify vocational skills gaps in the workforce and explore how providers in the county can work together to deliver the skills that employers want for their workforce, and employees need for their personal development. As well as identifying current gaps, it will also examine future trends, to "future-proof" skills provision.
